I had a good night back in June.... it's taken me four months and 15 hours for me to fully recover....

The Computer ate the first copy of this post.....(that one had more stuff in it.)

(I'm currently beating four people at chess, and playing one)

I'm Back in New Paltz.... and it's very new paltzish.....

I've been thinking about the various reactions of people since I've been back, I'm reminded of a line from Spartan, "some folks wave their hats, some folks turn their backs... they don't know where you've been...." (of course I wasn't sold into slavery on the black market sex trade..... so it might not have the same meaning for me....)

I feel like I'm missing someone.... but there's not really anyone I want to miss right now....

I was listening to angry angry music.... but I've gotten to Happy angry music and am feeling much better....

I've decided Ayn Rand was right....

I hear my words coming out of the mouths of people who have no sense (ignorance is strength)... and that makes me angry... because I end up agreeing with my opponents (go back to sleep)... I feel like Carl Popper, Ludwig Wittgenstien, Einstien, Ghandi, King, Christ, Buddha, and John Adams are sitting somewhere watching my life unfold on a movie screen and laughing at me... I don't know why I keep thinking people are capable of being good people (capable of being smart people)... it makes me sad (people who can't play the game of life)... I feel like it's one long solipsistic nightmare, and I just won't wake up... (learn to play chess)... people who think they are right would erode everything we have put in our way to save us from ourselves (little brother is watching you!)... The republican party is trying to do what it's always said it would... and the only opposition is a democratic party that has turned into a bootless narcissistic socialist authoritarian-personality circle-jerk (THINK!).... I spend my time filling in for co-workers who spend their day-off getting drunk (WHY?)...

and I'm too smart to make the mistakes that might do me the most good...

The ACLU just sued the pentagon for allowing military bases to sponsor boy scout troops (WHY?)... Congratulations, you've saved the world from groups of polite twelve year olds who feel the need to get together once a week and say the pledge of allegiance (THE BASTARDS! How Dare they?)... the Ga-li-ji factor

(the idea for the Ga-li-ji factor came to me when I was sitting in Hasbrouk thinking about potentially creating a system for turning social interactions into mathematical equations...... I later discussed it with Djere who found it very interesting.... Just for clarification Ga-li-ji means curry chicken)

In the chess world people are given ratings to describe their level of chess play... higher being better chess players, and lower being worse chess players...The Ga-li-ji factor is intended to work like a chess rating for life.... people who suck at life get a low rating... since it is based on theoretical ideas, the Ga-li-ji factor should not be taken literally or used to predict actual events

the scale for Ga-li-ji is from 1 to 10,000... 1 being earthworms and people in comas.... 10,000 being omnipotence and divine wisdom.... anyone who graduates from high school has a Ga-li-ji rating of at least 500 (except in special cases)... anyone who graduates from college has a Ga-li-ji rating of at least 1500 (except in special cases) since both 500 and 1500 are fairly low ratings, most people will be higher... IQ is not directly involved with the scale, but it can have a positive or negative effect on a persons rating

A person who is in all ways average is given a rating of 4,500... numbers are then added or subtracted as needed...When two people of unequal rating become emotionally involved, their ratings are averaged and become a group rating... (so, if a person with a rating of 6,000 becomes involved with a person who is rated 2,000 their group rating becomes 4,000)

Religion does not directly affect a persons Ga-li-ji rating in most cases... however, if someone thinks they are God and aren't, or thinks they have supernaturaly powers and don't, then they receive a deduction...one hundred points are added for difficult skills (such as speaking a second language, driving a car, playing chess, or sewing... etc.)10 points are subtracted per cigarette/doobie for smoking

drinking alcohol lowers a persons rating...this deduction is usually temporary... the amount lowered starts low and increases exponentially the more the person gets drunk... this deduction is usually temporary, but a permanent deduction is made for people who are considered "alcoholics"... when a person drinks enough to reach .4 Blood Alcohol Content their Ga-li-ji factor is basically reduced to 0

having a firm view of reality raises a rating... not having a firm view of reality lowers a rating... having the same view of reality as everyone you know does not necessarily raise your rating...being wrong or right about something does not necessarily affect someones rating... being consistently wrong or right can affect someones rating...More on the rating system to come later...
